During the first and second Trump terms, May oversaw the Administration’s policy apparatus, managing high-profile and impactful decisions across a wide range of policy areas, including healthcare, immigration, education, agriculture, deregulation, civil rights, and government spending.
May is a regular guest on major cable networks including CNN and Fox News and her writing appears in a wide range of outlets including Newsweek, USA Today, and the New York Post. May was a trusted communications guide in the White House, crafting responses to news outlets on a daily basis. With the non-profit Independent Women, May’s work on protecting women’s opportunities changed policies at the LPGA, NCAA, multiple states, and swung key states in the presidential election.
May graduated from Harvard Law School and clerked for Judge Timothy M. Tymkovich on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She is the former Deputy Solicitor General of Ohio, where she co-led a coalition of states in the Supreme Court to successfully overturn the vaccine mandate. May is the legal director for Independent Women, an impactful non-profit dedicated to sharing the stories of women — in court, in the media, and before Congress — to shape our nation’s policy.
